Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American broadcaster. She's an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation often. She began her career at ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual by her age of nine. The ability which helped her obtain her first role as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. There, she collaborated with producers for television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was later hired to the CBS station as a sports journalist. In 2009, she moved to Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting at KNVO TV 48 Univision. The stories she covered were about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs in both Texas as well as Mexico. The station also frequently asked her to fill in as an anchor for weather and sports. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she takes on more responsibility. She covered events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She has been promoted to sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. Her older Collins sister had just landed the job of his dreams. Antonietta is a senior in high school, yet she knew exactly what career path she wanted to pursue. So while assessing if Mount Union is the right choice for her Antonietta visited the university. It was a beautiful campus and provided the education she was looking for. Following the completion of her high school education, she enrolled in the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. He encouraged her to be self-confident and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply influenced her. She was determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not let him down.
